Sign Fest 2023
This event has been delayed till SPRING 2023.
WYHI 2023 is a social learning opportunity for students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing in the state of Wyoming. Students, Parents, and staff may attend a day of events and activities. The general public may attend a Magic show put on by Magic Morgan and Liliana! Admission is free. A bowling night/pizza party put on by Wyoming Hands and Voices will be held on February 23rd, RSVP on/by February 20th to attend. Watch a live performance of "Timeless Black Flame" by Jennifer Tandoc on February 22nd at 6:30 PM or partake in her make-and-take workshop on February 24th from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM.

Testify at the Wyoming state capitol for
SF57 & HB48
SF0057; The Wyoming Adult Hearing Aid Program, and HB0048; Renaming the “Deaf, Dumb, and Blind” account to the ”Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Blind, and Visually Impaired” account. These acts will be voted upon on the house floor. Both are instrumental for the future of Deaf access and advocacy in the state of Wyoming. Please assist us in this effort by contacting your legislators and asking them to vote YES on SF0057 and HB0048!

ADA Workshop
Save the dates! The Rocky Mountain ADA center will be hosting a 1.5-day ADA Workshop in Casper, Wyoming on February 21st and 22nd, 2023. During this workshop, their ADA specialists will guide you through a wide range of ADA topics including an Overview of the ADA, Disability Etiquette, Title I for Employers, Overview of 2010 ADA Standards, Effective Communication, and Service Animals. You’ll leave with a better understanding of the ADA’s purpose, what it says, and the prevalence of disability in America. We hope you can join us!

45th Anniversary Celebration
EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT: This November, we will gather virtually to celebrate 45 wonderful years of service from DEAF, Inc. With special guest Oscar winner Troy Kotsur, this will be one festive night you won’t want to miss! Mark your calendars for November 5, 2022, at 5 pm EST. See you there!

ASL Mini Workshop Series
The focus of this series will be on ASL literary works and different genres. Dr. Andrew Byrne, a well-known expert in ASL literature, will present at the sessions. These free workshops will run on the third Thursday of the month (with a few exceptions - please see the attached flyer for dates). The first session is in May, no session in June, and then we will resume in the fall from September through December. The first session is Thursday, May 19, 2022, over Zoom from 3:30 - 4:30 PM (EST).
